Nakedize has been has been delivering professional development (PD) courses privately since 2004 and publicly since 2008 (in partnership with Kāpuhipuhi Wellington Uni-Professional).
All courses are delivered by Nakedize founder Simon Hertnon (BA, Linguistics), who is a vastly experienced writer, editor, consultant, and educator.

In-house courses for groups
Our in-house courses are available nationally and internationally.
All courses can be tailored to your organisation’s needs and are delivered at your premises. They do not include catering.
Maximum group size for in-person courses is negotiable, but is typically 12 for full-day courses and 16 for half-day courses.
All prices are in New Zealand dollars and exclude GST.

Price freeze to 31 December 2026
Our last price increase was on 1 July 2024, and we know many organisations – particularly government agencies – are still operating on very tight PD budgets. We are holding our prices till at least the end of the year to help make it possible for all knowledge workers to all learn how to produce helpful information.
Note: We offer discounts for multi-course bookings, and pricing can be locked-in on payment of a deposit.

Hosted courses for groups (Wellington)
Through our 19-year partnership with Victoria University of Wellington, we are able to offer private, fully-catered Writing Essentials courses held in Wellington (at Rutherford House, opposite The Beehive).

Public courses for individuals (Wellington)
With the exception of this year, when Simon has taken a sabbatical to develop his exciting new Helpful Information Framework, our flagship Writing Essentials course has been accessible to individuals since 2008 through Kāpuhipuhi Wellington Uni-Professional.
We are currently scheduling two inter-related public courses for 2027.

Who should attend?
All our courses are for knowledge workers. (If you use a computer at work and write more than a few emails each day, then you’re probably a knowledge worker.)
Our Writing Essentials and Skills Essentials courses are applicable to all knowledge workers.
The Strategy Essentials course is particularly helpful to executives and managers, but is beneficial for all knowledge workers.
And the new Management Essentials course targets those who play a managerial role in the production of documents, along with those who regularly commission documents (such as board members, chief executives, and public service leaders and their advisers).

| Venue | For your convenience, courses are held at your own premises (or at a venue of your choice and provision). Venues must have adequate seating for attendees and contain a large whiteboard. |
| Catering | Catering is not included. |
| Tailoring | Tailoring information for audiences is what we teach and what we do. When you make a booking enquiry, we will ask you about any specific goals or requirements you have. We will also ask you about timing. For example, full-day courses are often best delivered over two half-days. |
| Travel costs | Nakedize Limited is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Courses at venues located outside Auckland will usually attract travel fees, which will be negotiated as part of our response to your booking enquiry. If we are able to arrange multiple engagements for a single trip, travel fees are split (as fairly as possible) between clients. |
| Deposits and payments | Deposits are required at the time of confirming any booking, and fees must be paid in full at least seven (7) days prior to a course, unless individually negotiated. All payments are refundable, subject to the cancellation fees detailed immediately below. The deposit for a single-course booking is NZ$1000; for multiple-seminar bookings it is 25% of the total fee. |
| Cancellation by you | Cancellations made 8-21 days prior to a course forfeit 50% of the deposit; cancellations made within seven (7) days forfeit the entire deposit. |
| Cancellation by Nakedize Limited | Since our establishment in 2004, we have never had to cancel or even postpone a course. However, we will immediately notify clients should circumstances require us to do so. Nakedize Limited is not responsible for any loss as a result of cancellation or postponement of a course. In the case of a cancellation, any fees paid will be refunded in full unless otherwise negotiated. |
| GST | GST (Goods and Sales Tax) of 15% applies to all transactions for services delivered in New Zealand. |
